Taiwan High Speed Rail
CRJA-IBI Group worked with planning consultants in Taipei to prepare preliminary station plans for the Taiwan High-Speed Rail-THSR Corporation during the initial land acquisition phases.
Station area planning objectives included developing compact station functions at each of the four intermediate stations in order to reduce auto-dependence. Stations were each located in existing city centers on land slated for urban renewal, anticipating that extremely high property demand and real estate values would follow station development. For this reason stations were designed as accessible urban centers with multi-use facilities related to high speed transit.
