New England Conservatory Streetscapes

Boston, MA

Working for the New England Conservatory, CRJA-IBI Group designed a new pedestrian focused streetscape for the School’s campus.

Working directly with the New England Conservatory and in coordination with the project roadway Engineer, CRJA-IBI Group is developing streetscapes to improve and expand the public and campus realm in proximity to the institution’s existing and proposed buildings, utilizing “complete streets” principles to create a more pedestrian-friendly environment. The new streetscape designs are inspired by musical themes and will comprise of custom site furniture, new paved pedestrian and bicycle focused streets and sidewalks, enhanced intersections and crosswalks. The design takes full advantage of the streetscape as a new exterior space for students.
