Concord Main Street Officially Opens
The new Concord Main Street officially opened last night after a major 4-year transformation. The celebration commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony at City Plaza featuring U.S. Department of Transportation Undersecretary Blair Anderson, Mayor Jim Bouley, and the 150-member Concord High Marching Band, followed by a parade down main street and reception at the Capitol Center for the Arts.
The improved Main Street creates new opportunities for businesses, social interactions, and community and cultural events for this dynamic community. Chamber of Commerce Chair Nannu Nobis commented, “The results speak for themselves. It drives right, it bikes right, it walks right. It just feels good.”
